Khondzi is a NYC-based saxophone player and composer originally from Tbilisi, Georgia. His music is a fusion of Jazz, Funk, Georgian Folk and Ancient Trance Dance Music. He often travels between and beyond genres as well as invents original styles like "Perkhuli'' and "Funkh."
Khondzi’s formal education in music began at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire and he further honed his craft at the Berklee College of Music and the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music at the New School. He has performed at renowned venues and festivals worldwide, including NYC Winter JazzFest, Birdland, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Nublu, Drom, Black Sea Jazz Festival, and Klaipėda Castle Jazz Festival among others. In addition to his own projects, Khondzi has collaborated and played with many musicians and has toured internationally with some of the biggest Georgian artists, including Nino Katamadze and Stephane.

His work is characterized by its magnetic quality, inviting audiences into a world of imaginative musical narratives. Some of his compositions are regarded as "Georgian Standards" in Tbilisi's jazz scene.
